All Aboard for Sleeping Beauty Groups and Press Launch!

On Monday 1^st July at 12.00pm Noon it will be ‘All Aboard’ as we welcome TV favourite WENDI PETERS who will be starring in this year’s sensational Christmas Pantomime SLEEPING BEAUTY here at The Stockport Plaza along with her supporting cast including the hilarious SCOTT GALLAGHER for our GROUPS AND PRESS LAUNCH.

We shall also have a VERY special guest joining us for the Launch – A very rare example of Stockport’s heritage and craftsmanship with a 1951 Stockport Corporation Bus, a Crossley DD42 – Fleet Number 321, which was built at the Errwood Park works which has been off the road for many years and has been put back on for a limited period to celebrate 200 years of buses by The Manchester Museum of Transport located on Boyle Street, Cheetham Hill, Manchester.

The bus was withdrawn from service in the late 1960s however there was a desire to have it preserved and it eventually joined the stunning collection at the Museum and this will be a rare moment for this stunning vehicle to be parked directly in front of the iconic Stockport Plaza where we are sure it would have collected passengers for many years when the bus terminus was in front of the venue.

David Blake a Director Of The Plaza had wanted to get the Crossley 321 to The Plaza since the venue was reopened in 2000 so this along with the launch of our sensational family pantomime really will be a spellbinding dream come true!

Following our launch WENDI PETERS and our cast all of whom will be in full costume will be ‘All Aboard’ for the perfect location for a photocall so a cordial invite is extended to anyone looking to potentially book a small party or larger group for this years sensational Family Pantomime SLEEPING BEAUTY which runs from FRIDAY 6TH DECEMBER 2024 until SUNDAY 5TH JANUARY 2025 to join us for our sensational event here at The Plaza – Monday 1st July at 12.00pm Noon
